Valentine’s Day is upon us and many are doing some last-minute
shopping for that special someone. Not every person is down for the ideal
dinner with reservations. Some people don’t need the flashy cards with
chocolates and flowers. Some people need an alternative, and that is exactly
what I am going to offer. Some games that might be good to play with the old
ball and chain:
If your partner is more of a first-person shooter type, then
I would recommend a Call of Duty. You can’t go wrong with some multiplayer
zombies on World at War or Black Ops. These games tend to be gory, so hopefully
they are into the contradiction of it being V-Day and not Halloween.
If your significant other is more of a competitively driven person,
then you would look at some old retro games like a Mario Party on Nintendo or even
a classic Mario Kart. Games like these don’t have many controls and are very easy
to pick up for a beginner. Even if they aren’t playing well, they can’t go
wrong with the pretty colors and the feeling of nostalgia.
Let’s say they enjoy sports, then I would suggest something
like FIFA or even NBA 2k. These games are more challenging, but worth it if
your partner is ready and up to the challenge. Games like these are so
life-like and realistic, it is hard not to feel like you are out there playing.
You can always go online and look for more creative games.
The web has a wide array of games that focus on your quick wit and brains. A
game for this I would suggest is the Impossible Quiz. At first it might be
tricky, but as you soon learn the hang of it, it becomes an entertaining
nightmare that will keep you playing.
And there you go, a few games to play with bae that don’t require
much effort and will either have them entertained, or wondering why you decided
to be cheap this holiday.
